Throughout the year we organise hill walking days, road biking, weekends away, holidays, evening pub walks and bike rides in summer, plus a variety of social events.
As these activities can make us thirsty and hungry we try to fit in the odd trip to the pub or tea shop at the end of the day!
If you want to make new friends, go to some beautiful and remote places, try new activities, learn new skills and generally just have fun, do get in touch.
DAY EVENTS
Our day events usually focus on Cheshire, the Wirral, North Wales, the Peak District, Staffordshire, Shropshire and Lancashire.
Weekends away
On weekends away we can go further afield to the Lake District, Southern Scotland, Yorkshire Dales, Peak District, Shropshire and deeper into Wales.
HOLIDAY DESTINATIONS
Holiday destinations have included West Coast of Scotland, Southern Scotland, Cornwall, Pembrokeshire, the Isle of Man, hut to hut trips in Poland, cycling holidays in Majorca and hut to hut trips to the Dolomites.
Chester Great Outdoors Club is affiliated to the British Mountaineering Council (BMC). Chester Great Outdoors Club membership fee includes membership of the BMC which provides liability insurance, discounts in some outdoor stores and BMC information and guidance.
We are also affiliated to Cycling UK which provides liability insurance for those who lead cycle rides on behalf of the club.
